Soldiers Of Truth (SOT)

What are God's people going to do together? How will we spend our time?

In SOT, we are trusting to shake ourselves from the mediocrity that envelopes so much of church life. May every promise of God's Word be true in our lives!

"But it was thou, a man mine equal, my guide, and mine acquaintance. We took sweet counsel together, and walked unto the house of God in company." Psalm 55:13-14

The Mission of SOT

To provide an engine of accountability through which the goals of discipleship are reinforced, encouraging every member to consecrate their lives to the mission of making the Word of God known and molding the lives of others.

The Goals of SOT

• WORD : :  Accountability to the Word of God

  • Accountability to the Word of God provides wisdom to the sinner (Ecclesiastes 9:18). The task with this goal is to become a wise man or woman of God. This reinforces goal number one of discipleship by providing personal accountability to study the WORD on a regular basis. We are not looking for the spectacular here. We are looking for a consistent relationship with God's Word.

• WORSHIP : :  Accountability to Co-Laborers and Fellowsoldiers

  • Proficiency in ministry provides a bow to the soldier (Job 20:24). The task with this goal is to learn to functionas a team in the mission. This reinforces goal number two of discipleship by developing Bible-based relationships through WORSHIP.

• WHERE AND WORK : :  Accountability to the Pastor

  • Responsibility in supporting the pastor provides a sword to the builder (Nehemiah 4:18). The task with this goal is to become a watchman at the side of the pastor, who is ready to sound the trumpet. This reinforces goals number three and four of discipleship by getting people to adjust to WORK on a structured team.
