Welcome to PrayerPack!

Our mission is to teach our kids the importance, power, and necessity of prayer in each of our lives. We believe that if children can learn these lessons early, the benefits will prove very valuable as they mature in their walk with God. We use Bible lessons that reinforce what the kids learned on Sunday as well as take time for requests, praises and prayer. We have seen God do some awesome things in PrayerPack and we are always looking for fun and exciting ways to teach our kids about prayer. It is truly an incredible thing to see our kids respond to sitauations by first going to God in prayer.

Goals

We have 4 goals in PrayerPack and they are:

  • To teach our kids all about prayer and how God uses it in each of us.
  • To build God-centered relationships with each child so they can see first hand what ministry looks like in the body of Christ.
  • To point each child to Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior.
  • To care for the kids so that the parents can enjoy some distraction-free time while they are praying in the prayer meeting upstairs.

Weekly Activites

Each week, kids will enjoy the following type of activities:
  • Free Play – Free play happens as the kids are being checked in and when they are being checked out. There are two 15-20 minute time slots at the beginning and end that the kids can play in one of two play rooms.
  • Singing – We sing fun praise songs geared towards the child’s age group.
  • Bible Lesson – A short Bible lesson is taught and is designed to reinforce what the kids learned at KidTown on the previous Sunday.
  • Prayer Time – We have a time of sharing requests and prayer. Typically, the kids split up into groups of 2-3 for this.
  • Snack – We have a short time for snacks. (crackers, cookies, water, juice, etc.) For the most part, we try to keep sugar intake low given the late time of our meeting.
  • Activity (coloring, craft, etc.) – Whether it is a coloring sheet, a craft, or an activity page, the kids will be accomplishing something that goes hand-in-hand with that night’s lesson.
